As has been the habit of incarcerated DHFL promotor Dheeraj Wadhawan to be in hospital on flimsy grounds, a Trial Court has directed the treating doctor to decide if he be put in hospital. He is an accused in a money laundering case.
The CBI has charged Wadhawan with using mobile and other high-end gadgets for communication and visitors keep flocking him to meet which has come to light when a surprise search was conducted.
CBI says that it is routine for Wadhawan to remain in hospital. An FIR has also been lodged against him for giving misinformation and hatching a criminal conspiracy.
The Trial Court has asked the CBI to get the details from the Lilavati Hospital about visitors and register maintained as the court felt that directions given by the high court are neither followed nor doctors kept the situation under control. The court also came to know that Wadhawan was allowed to avail food and other facilities of his choice.
Court did not agree to Dr. Nitin Gokhale’s justification of keeping Dheeraj in hospital as there is no other illness found in his medical examination.
In a report submitted to the Trial Court, the judge said there is a contradiction in the report submitted by AIIMS medical board, Delhi and doctors treating Wadhawan.
