Lawyers in the District Bar Council of Rohtak feel political heat over upcoming elections. The High Court decision affects former Minister and BJP leader Captain Abhimanyu, alongside Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda. Approximately 60 lawyers’ names might be struck off, including Deepender and Captain Abhimanyu. The crucial elections for the Rohtak Bar Council are slated for December 15th, with nominations set for December 7th and scrutiny on December 8th. Amid this, a plea in the High Court questions the inclusion of lawyers from other bar councils in the voter list. The Election Management Committee decided to remove these lawyers’ names from the voter list upon hearing the plea.
