A civil court has issued its verdict in favour of Sister Lucy, allowing her to live inside the Franciscan Clarist Congregation Convent. Speaking to The Daily Guardian, she said that it was not a temporary but a permanent victory for her. On attempts to throw her out of the convent and the community she had been serving for the last 40 years, she said that any such move would have been against justice and humanity.

She said that it was not only a victory that now allowed her to stay in the convent but also the accusations against her were washed off.

“I am very proud today”, she said. Sister Lucy explained how it had been tough for her to survive inside the convent with the nuns. Today as well, her inmates watched the news about Lucy’s victory flashing on TV screens but could not accept the verdict.
