It was an all-familiar situation in Delhi-NCR as scenes of waterlogging were seen everywhere after heavy and continuous rains. Areas like Delhi, Noida, Baraut, Nuh, Sohna, Palwal, Hodal, Faridabad, Gurugram, Manesar and Ballabgarh received very heavy rainfall.

The incessant rain impacted some neighbourhoods more severely as structures broke down. In Saket, a sidewall behind the Apeejay School collapsed, leaving several cars buried under the debris. Meanwhile, a part of a house fell in Nangloi but, fortunately, no casualties were reported.

As the intensity of the rain increased, visuals of roads submerged under rainwater also emerged. Traffic was hit majorly due to the rain and there were many traffic snarls in and around Delhi. According to Delhi Traffic Police officials, Dwarka Link Road, Barapula, Dhaula Kuan, Rao Tula Ram Marg, Moti Bagh Square, South Extension (Ring Road), Ashram Square, Delhi-Noida Direct Flyway, Noida Link Road and Vikas Marg were jammed due to waterlogging. Rohtak Road and Rajdhani Park also remained blocked for hours.

More traffic problems arose in the capital with bus failures and overflowing sewer water in parts like the Palam flyover, Savitri flyover, and the roads from Chawri Bazar to Ajmeri Gate, Kalkaji to Chirag Delhi and Dhaula Kuan to AIIMS. Traffic was also disrupted due to the road sinking on the Rawata Mor-Jhuljhuli route and a protest demonstration at Kondli Pulia.

The Meteorological Department has said that the weather in Delhi-NCR will remain the same for many days to come.
