Congress has prepared a panel for the remaining seats of Rajasthan based on a survey. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, state president Govind Singh Dotasra, investigation committee head Gaurav Gogai and all other members prepared panels for the remaining seats of Rajasthan on Sunday.
Two developments happened before this meeting. One, an attempt was made to show that everything was going well in the party. For this, a photo of Naresh Arora hugging the state president Dotasara was released. Arora is the owner of Design Box, who is handling the responsibility of Rajasthan elections. The photo is said to have been clicked two days ago. On that day, Arora had organised a program to issue five more guarantees in the state Congress war room.
It is worth noting that recently the news of tension between Dotasra and Arora had come out. The reason for the tension was that Arora was not giving any importance to the organisation. Several reports about the leak of a survey were also circulated. However, the party has decided to express confidence in Arora, ignoring everything. Now, Arora is handling the responsibility of fighting the elections.
Secondly, before the screening committee meeting in the Delhi War Room, a meeting was also held with Arora. It is understood that in this meeting, the survey conducted by his agency regarding the candidates was discussed. The party has conducted two or three surveys. One survey has also been done by strategist Sunil Kanugolu on behalf of Rahul Gandhi’s team.
The screening committee, after matching all the surveys and the names received from the PCC, sent the panel of winning candidates to the Central Election Committee.
Till now, most of the tickets distributed by the party have been given to all the existing ministers and MLAs. These names were already decided, but the real trouble will arise now. Ministers Mahesh Joshi and Shanti Dhariwal are waiting for the tickets for their sons. The decision on Dharmendra Rathore’s ticket will also be taken by the Central Election Committee. Joshi and Dhariwal are said to be in trouble because of their controversies. The final list can be released in a few days, after finalising the names of the remaining seats in the Central Election Committee meeting today.
