Congress starts ticket allocation process, accepts applications at ‘Block Level’ in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, the Congress party has begun the process for ticket allocation in the upcoming legislative assembly elections. Following decisions made during the Congress Party meeting held on August 19 in the PCC War Room, the Pradesh (state) Congress Committee held a meeting of various Block Congress Committees on August 21. The process of accepting applications from ticket aspirants has commenced.
On August 22 and 23, Block Congress Committee meetings are scheduled to take place. The application process will run until August 23. Subsequently, these applications will be submitted during a meeting of the District Congress Committee on August 24. After the meeting, the District Congress Committee will forward the applications to the Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters.
On August 21, a large number of applications were received at various Block Congress offices across the state. Those who were unable to apply at the Block Congress Committee level have the option to submit their applications at the District Congress Committee meeting, which will be held on 25 and 27 August.
The application format has been released, and it requests eight pieces of information. Firstly, personal information is requested, followed by details regarding the applicant’s service within the Congress party and information about any prior political roles. Information regarding any previous political affiliations and electoral victories or losses, including in Panchayat and municipal elections or student politics, is also required. Details about the applicant’s social activities are also requested.
