Congress Telangana Chief Revanth Reddy has strongly criticized the raids conducted by central investigation agencies against Congress leaders in the state. He alleged that these raids were a “planned” conspiracy by top leaders of the Bharat Rasthtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Revanth Reddy claimed that the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) and Income Tax (IT) departments’ raids on Congress candidates are indicative of collusion between the BRS and BJP. He questioned why the investigating agencies focused solely on harassing Congress leaders without uncovering any faults within the BRS or BJP candidates.

The state Congress chief specifically mentioned the raids on Congress leader Vivek Venkataswamy as evidence of collaboration between the BJP and the BRS. Despite the challenges, Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in the Congress’s victory in Telangana’s upcoming assembly elections on November 30, with vote counting on December 3.

In the previous Assembly election in 2018, the BRS, formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), secured 88 out of 119 seats, capturing 47.4% of the total vote share. The Congress trailed behind with only 19 seats, marking a distant second.
