Ahead of the by-elections for seven vacant seats in Rajasthan, the Congress Party is laying out a roadmap to make a strong comeback. The elections are scheduled for November 13, and in line with directives from the AICC In-Charge, Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasra has appointed senior observers to oversee the upcoming assembly by-polls.
The upcoming by-elections in Rajasthan are necessitated by several developments. The Jhunjhunu seat became vacant after Congress MLA Brijendra Ola ascended to MP, marking a continuous winning streak for Congress in this constituency over four elections. Similarly, the Dausa seat has been vacant following Congress MLA Murari Lal Meena’s election to MP. Another seat fell vacant due to the ascent of Congress MLA Harish Meena, a supporter of Sachin Pilot, who became an MP from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur. Additionally, a vacancy arose in the Chaurasi seat after Rajkumar Roat was elected MP from Dungarpur-Banswara. The Khinvsar seat is now vacant due to Hanuman Beniwal’s election to MP from Nagaur, while the seat previously held by BJP MLA Amritlal Meena is vacant following his death.
Finally, a seat has also been vacant due to the unfortunate passing of Congress MLA Zuber Khan.
Congress, intensifying its preparations for the assembly by-elections to be held, also appointed the election in-charge for the assembly by-election.
Dotasra convened a meeting with leaders and workers in the Congress boardroom to strategize for the upcoming by-elections on seven seats.
The Congress Party has appointed senior observers for each constituency ahead of the upcoming by-elections. Pramod Jain Bhaya will oversee Dausa, while Govind Ram Meghwal has been assigned to Jhunjhunu. Bhajan Lal Jatav will monitor Ramgarh, and Harimohan Sharma is responsible for Deoli-Uniara. Udai Lal Anajana will oversee Khinvsar, Sukhram Bishnoi will manage Chorasi, and Ashok Chandna has been appointed for Salumbar.

Congress Party has appointed election in-charges and organization in-charges for the upcoming by-elections on seven key seats. This effort aims to effectively manage the electoral process and leverage resources to secure victories.
In Dausa, MLA Rafiq Khan, along with Dungar Ram Gedar, Draupadi Kohli, and Mahendra Gehlot, has been appointed as election in-charges. Ramesh Khandelwal and Pushpesh Bhardwaj will serve as organization in-charges. This by-election follows Murari Lal Meena›s ascension to MP.
For the Jhunjhunu seat, MLA Hakam Ali, Amit Chachan, Anil Sharma, and Hem Singh Shekhawat will be the election in-charges, while Naseem Akhtar and Ram Singh Kaswan are the organization in-charges. This by-election is necessitated by Brijendra Ola›s election to MP.
In Ramgarh, election responsibilities have been assigned to MLA Rohit Bohra, Dharmendra Rathore, Vikas Chaudhary, and Rupendra Singh Kunnar. Ramesh Khandelwal and Yashwant Gurjar will handle organizational duties.
For the Deoli-Uniara seat, MP Ummedram Beniwal, Karan Singh Ucchiyarda, Rakhi Gautam, and former president Kishanlal will take charge. Ramvilas Chaudhary and Prashant Sharma will oversee the organization.
In Khinvsar, MLA Pusharam Godara, Jagdish Jangid, Abhishek Chaudhary, and Gajendra Sankhla are appointed as election in-charges, while Ramvilas Chaudhary and Manoj Meghwal will serve as organization in-charges.
For Salumber, former minister Arjun Bamaniya, Ramlal Meena, Pramod Sisodia, and Prem Kumar Patidar will lead the election efforts. Ratan Dewasi and Rajendra are tasked with organizational responsibilities, making Salumber the only seat among the seven previously held by the BJP.
Finally, in the Chaurasi seat, Congress has appointed former minister Mangi Lal Garasiya, Pushkar Lal Dangi, Chetan Patel, and Jagdish Shrimali as election in-charges. Gopal Krishna Sharma and Hangami Lal Mewada will serve as organization in-charges.
Additionally, Congress has announced the names of members for the PCC headquarters, media committee, and war room committee ahead of the by-elections. Voting is scheduled for November 13, with results to be counted on November 23.
