Neither the Congress is ready to learn from the defeat nor the Congressmen are ready to improve. They are doing and saying whatever they want. The Lok Sabha elections are round the corner and the Congress is not seen contesting the elections. After consecutive defeats. There is also no change in strategy.
While Rahul Gandhi is taking out Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge is going to different places and holding public meetings. There is only one issue inside and outside the Parliament- Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both the leaders are attacking him as fiercely as possible.
In the name of Modi, people are being intimidated that if he wins then everything will end etc. The real issues related to the common man like inflation, unemployment, corruption, farmers, youth issues are completely missing. Such a message is being sent that just like in 2019, Congress will contest elections with Rahul Gandhi as its face and Modi will be the target.
This is because Congress’s strategy of contesting elections by forming a united front against Prime Minister Modi has failed. Now efforts are being made to somehow bring together some parties in Uttar Pradesh. The Yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh on the 16th of this month. However, in the current situation, only the constituent parties of UPA will survive.
Like RJD, Left-wing, NCP and DMK etc, SP may not come together. In such a situation, the biggest question is about the Hindi belt. Congress has to contest the elections alone in the Hindi belt. The party appointed coordinators on all the Lok Sabha seats. Also gave them many powers. But there is lack of organization in the party, lack of coordination among the leaders, counting each other’s mistakes etc. It is going on because the leadership itself is not able to decide anything.
The situation is very bad in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh. In the meetings being held in Rajasthan, instead of discussing how to win the elections, the leaders are counting the reasons for the defeat and fighting among themselves. State in-charge Sukhijendra Singh Randhawa neither At the time of assembly elections, we were not able to understand politics and neither are we able to understand it now. The leaders are singing their own tune. It does not seem that there is any seriousness about the elections. In Madhya Pradesh, as former state president Kamal Nath said that anyone can go anywhere, many meanings have started being drawn.
This time Congress will get the only Lok Sabha seat of Chhindwara. There is a doubt. The way the Congress high command has held Kamal Nath directly responsible for the defeat, there is a doubt whether Kamal Nath will remain in the Congress. Kamal Nath is angry at being snatched away from the post of president. He wanted to remain the president. In Rajasthan, Govind Singh Dotasara wanted to leave. Dotasara wanted to become the legislative party leader. Everything was decided, but at the last moment Rahul Gandhi himself called and asked him to remain the president. Meaning That’s when the party should make a strategy to contest elections unitedly in all the states.
Work should be done on the issues and selection of candidates. The politicians contesting the elections are busy in making the Nyaya Yatra of their leader Rahul a success. The message is being sent that the Yatra is more important than the elections. Its direct impact is on the states. Leaders are also completing the formalities by holding meetings. In this situation, it will be interesting to see how tough Congress will give to BJP.
