Congress leader, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the government led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, asserting that influential figures in the BRS are orchestrating governance from farmhouses.
She claimed that under this regime, the wealth gap is widening, with the poor getting poorer while the ruling party grows richer. Speaking at a campaign rally in Bhongir, approximately 50 km away, she alleged that if the BRS returns to power, the government will be run from a “farmhouse,” allowing the liquor mafia to dominate the state, with a lack of employment opportunities.
She alleged that all “big” leaders in the BRS are sitting in farmhouses and running the government, and the poor are becoming poorer while the ruling party is becoming richer.
Addressing a poll rally at Bhongir, she alleged that if the BRS is voted to power again, the government will run from “farmhouse” and the land liquor mafia will rule the state, while there will not be any employment opportunities available.
“Big leaders of Telangana are sitting in their mansions and farmhouses and running the government… All its (BRS) leaders are sitting in big mansions. All their policies are for big business people only. They do not have anything for the small business people, middle class, poor, Dalits and Adivasis,” she said.
According to her, all government employees across the country are urging the implementation of the old pension scheme, yet the Centre maintains that it lacks the funds to fulfill this demand.
