CM Yogi Adityanath: In a historic move, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his cabinet convened a special meeting in Ayodhya, marking a new chapter in the state’s history. Adityanath emphasized the importance of Ayodhya, where 178 schemes worth over Rs 30,500 crore are already running.

During the meeting, 14 key proposals were discussed, including the establishment of an Inland Waterways Authority at the state level. The Chief Minister announced the Winter session of the UP Assembly, commencing on November 28 for a week. Earlier, Adityanath and his cabinet colleagues visited the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir construction site, Hanumangarhi Temple, and offered prayers at the site of Ram Lala Virajman. UP Police had tightened security and deployed the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in the temple town.

The meeting’s timing coincided with the anniversary of the temple’s foundation stone laying and the Supreme Court’s decision in 2019. The cabinet discussions focused on development initiatives and preparations for the upcoming Deepotsav celebrations. The meeting anticipates the consecration of the Lord Ram idol on January 22, 2024, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and seers participating.
