Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during his visit to Ujjain on Monday. CM Sai, accompanied by his family, was in the city to offer prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple. After completing the rituals, he visited the Circuit House, where CM Yadav greeted him warmly.

Speaking to reporters, CM Sai said, “I came to offer prayers at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, and it was fortunate that CM Mohan Yadav was also in the city. We had a courtesy meeting during my visit.”

CM Yadav expressed his pleasure at the visit, stating, “I am delighted that guests continue to visit our city and take part in the ‘Mahakal Sawari.’ Today, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister has come to seek blessings from Baba Mahakal, and I warmly welcome him. Chhattisgarh shares a deep connection with Madhya Pradesh, as it was once part of our state. May Baba Mahakal’s blessings continue to shine on everyone.”

The meeting took place amid the traditional Monday ‘Sawari’ of Baba Mahakal in Ujjain, a procession in which devotees eagerly await a glimpse of the deity. The event is held every Monday during the auspicious month of Sawan, symbolizing Baba Mahakal’s journey to observe the wellbeing of his people.

Earlier, CM Sai shared his thoughts with ANI, saying, “It is the last Monday of the Sawan month and also Raksha Bandhan today. I visited Baba Mahakal’s city with my family to pray for the happiness and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. I also sought blessings to continue serving the state as Chief Minister. Additionally, I extend my greetings to the people of both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.”

The visit highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the Mahakaleshwar Temple, as well as the bond between the neighboring states.
