Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Deshmukh from Solapur North during Maharashtra Assembly election campaigning on Thursday. He appealed to the migrant Rajasthanis who had come in large numbers to the Rajasthani Samaj Sammelan in Solapur to support and vote for the BJP candidate and make him victorious in the assembly elections. He said that everyone has seen the changes that have come after 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Schemes for poor welfare, security of borders, elimination of terrorism and Naxalism and the growing pride of India in the world are proof of this. The Chief Minister said that migrant Rajasthanis remain connected to their Karmabhoomi and Janmabhoomi. Marwaris have made a special place for themselves in the country and abroad with their hard work. Marwaris are associated with the culture, thoughts and construction of the country. Marwaris have an important contribution in nation building.
The Chief Minister said that Congress has always sought votes in the name of caste and religion. It has always worked to divide. Congress is the mother of corruption. People associated with it are associated with nepotism and corruption. Whenever elections come, these people work to mislead. He said that these people are mocking the legacy of Balasaheb. The Mahavinash Thugbandhan is not worthy of being the representative of the residents of this holy land of Shivaji Maharaj. Now the time has come to give it a befitting reply.
Sharma said that the people of Mahavinash Thugbandhan oppose all issues of national interest. They opposed Section 370 and CAA and did not come to the Praan Pratishtha event of Ram temple even when called. It is necessary to save Maharashtra from these dangerous intentions of terrorist supporters. He said that the picture of Maharashtra has also changed due to the double-engine government. Solapur has also progressed. With the increase in rail and road connectivity in the double engine government, connectivity between Rajasthan and Maharashtra is also increasing. There is a huge demand for marble from Rajasthan. With the increase in means of connectivity, it will become easier to bring marble here. Under the leadership of PM Modi, new expressways, four lane and six lane highways are being built across the country.
The Chief Minister said that with the increase in connectivity, the textile industry here is flourishing.
Opportunities are also increasing for people engaged in jobs. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the gift of an airport in Solapur.
Solapur is becoming a smart city under the double-engine government. Today, the poor are getting all the facilities without any middleman, without any corruption. They are getting houses, electricity, gas connections, tap water and the benefits of all the schemes. A double-engine government is being formed again in Maharashtra and the state will now move forward on the path of development at double the speed. The people of Mahavinash Thugbandhan think only about themselves. The people of Solapur have already recognised these opportunists.
The Chief Minister said, “It has been more than 10 months since our government was formed in Rajasthan. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government in Rajasthan has signed ERCP and Yamuna Water Agreement to solve the water problem. Unprecedented work has also been done in the field of electricity. Our government is building nine Greenfield Highways to improve connectivity in the state. He said that Shri Krishna Gamanpath is being built, Rs 100 crore has been given for Khatu Shyam temple. Senior leaders Kishore Deshpande, Babu Bhai Mehta, Srinivas Dayama, Chandrakant Taparia and many migrant Rajasthanis and BJP workers were present in the conference.
