The Leader of the Opposition (LoP), Partap Singh Bajwa on Friday rebuked the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for creating unnecessary hype with the announcement that the no-objection certificate was not required for the registration of any land and property in the state.

Citing a news report, Bajwa said that a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Punjab and Haryana High Court was filed on the issue and the next date of hearing is April 26. As per some sources, this issue was only discussed in the cabinet meeting. No decision was taken on this.

“Keeping in mind the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Punjab CM seems to have been in haste to make announcements to lure the voters. Similarly, the Aam Aadmi Party made several promises before the assembly elections in 2022. Majority of the promises made by the AAP before the assembly elections are still unfulfilled”, Bajwa added.

Senior Congress Leader, Bajwa said that the Punjab CM always remain in a hurry to make announcements and take credit without knowing the ground realities.

“He made the announcement relating to BMW’s plans to open a business in Punjab that later on turned out to be misleading information. Similarly, he had baselessly announced the arrest of gangster Goldy Brar’s arrest”, Bajwa added.
