Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated the India Stone Mart exhibition at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECRC) on Thursday. During his address after the inauguration, he stated that Rajasthan has witnessed rapid growth in investment and stone business through events like India Stone Mart over the past 20 years, which has contributed to the state’s development.
The CM highlighted the crucial role of industries in strengthening the state’s economy and announced the organization of an industrial summit in the state, following the model of Vibrant Gujarat, to provide suitable opportunities for entrepreneurs in the state.
The Chief Minister mentioned the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, where Rajasthan’s pink stone and marble have been used, which is a matter of pride for all of us. He stated that India Stone Mart has established Rajasthan’s stone industry prominently on the world map. The stone of the state is not only popular within the country but also abroad, and its supply is being abundantly fulfilled by the state’s entrepreneurs.
Industries Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore stated that the department has resolved to achieve record growth in the stone industry in the next 5 years.
He praised the efforts of artisans in realizing the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Secretary Sudhansh Pant mentioned that the state government will simplify rules to encourage entrepreneurs and create a positive investment atmosphere in the state.
