Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in Dadiya, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his appreciation for the revised project’s Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), calling it a historic milestone that will be remembered in golden letters. Sharma emphasized the ongoing dedication and seriousness of the double-engine government in Rajasthan, which is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the common people and driving the state forward on the path of progress.
Sharma highlighted the significance of this ambitious project, which will benefit around 3.25 crore people across 21 districts in Rajasthan. The project will provide easy access to drinking water and improve irrigation for about 2.5 lakh hectares of new land, while also enhancing water supply for irrigation across 1.5 lakh hectares. Additionally, industries in these districts will receive the required water for their operations.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Sharma noted that various development initiatives worth over one lakh crore rupees have been launched in a single day. This includes the foundation stones and inaugurations of projects worth more than 46 thousand crore rupees and the issuance of tenders for works amounting to approximately 58 thousand crore rupees. He further mentioned that, inspired by PM Modi, a major initiative to create recharge wells for groundwater recharge has been started in approximately 45 thousand villages under the Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi program. Additionally, under the Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan, over one lakh water-related projects were initiated immediately after the formation of the government.

Work done on 2 lakh government recruitments
The Chief Minister said that the state government has done welfare work for the youth, farmers, women and the poor in its first year itself. About 43 thousand youth have been given government jobs in the last one year. Our government is moving fast on the process of about 1 lakh 29 thousand government jobs and the process of about 27 thousand recruitments is being started soon. In this way, the state government is working on two lakh recruitments with full seriousness to improve the future of the youth of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bhagiratha of the modern era, has an important role in bringing water of three rivers to the districts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh through the revised PKC link project (integrated ERCP). Dr. Yadav said that the dispute of this scheme was going on in the courts for a long time. It has been resolved after 20 years. He said that Madhya Pradesh is in a way the maternal home of rivers. Parvati, Kali Sindh and Chambal also originate from Madhya Pradesh. He said that in this project costing Rs 70 thousand crore, only 10 percent financial burden will come on the state governments and 90 percent contribution will be given by the Central Government.
Water shortage in Rajasthan will be resolved: Patil
At the same time, Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil said that this is a historic day for the Rajasthan government. To overcome the water shortage in the state, the Prime Minister has given a big gift to the state in the form of ERCP. He said that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he worked seriously for water conservation and the result of his efforts is that today Rajasthan is going to get rid of the water problem. Patil said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, water has been delivered to 15 crore houses. The time that women used to spend to bring water from their homes is now being saved. He said that so far 3 lakh rain water recharge structures have been built in the Janmabhoomi to Karmabhoomi campaign, which will collect rainwater and increase the level of underground water. Under this, this campaign being run with the target of 10 lakh rain water recharge bores has turned into a public movement with public participation.
