Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud stated on Wednesday that the Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0, which has new capabilities, is ready and would let all legal professionals and government agencies track their cases.

According to the CJI, government departments can now view their pending cases with the latest edition of the app. He added that the App 2.0 will be accessible to Google Play Store users in an hour and iOS users in a week.

“This time we have given an additional feature, all law enforcement officers can have real-time access to their access. All government departments can check the pendency of their cases. Please use it,” said the CJI.

According to the updated app’s summary, nodal officers of the central ministry department can view any miscellaneous documents filed, including judgments, status orders, and cases filed in the Supreme Court.

In order to allow journalists to cover Supreme Court proceedings without having to physically visit the courthouse during the pandemic, the court launched a mobile application in 2021.
