On Wednesday at the Shahibaug Police Stadium, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) FC and Lords FA Kochi will face each other in an important Group B clash of the Indian Women’s League in an effort to increase their point totals by three.After their first two games, CRPF and Lords FA Kochi are level on three points. A victory would increase their chances of moving on to the knockout rounds. In their final game, CRPF defeated C hurchill Brothers 2-1 to open their account for the season.  Lords FA, after beating Celtic Queens 4-0 in their opener, went down 1-4 to Sethu FC on Sunday.

 

Uttam Singh Negi, the head coach of the CRPF, is confident going into the match and thinks that every game in this league is as significant because the Hero Indian Women’s League presents an opportunity for all the big names of the country to participate. Nirvan Shah, the head coach of Lords FA, said his team is prepared for a difficult test and is just focused on the CRPF task at hand. After defeating Odisha FC on Sunday, Kickstart FC will be eager to build on their victory when they take on Churchill Brothers in their Hero Indian Women’s League Group B matchup on Wednesday at the TransStadia.

 

They need to play better than they did the previous year, when they placed third in the Hero IWL, according to head coach Langam Chaoba Devi. With a roster this season which includes prominent young players, they aim to make the final and win the championship.

On the other hand, it will be difficult for Churchill Brothers FC Goa, who are making their debut, to surprise an experienced opponent like Kickstart FC. The Red Machines will be desperate for their first-ever points in the Hero IWL after dropping their first two games, 0-6 to Sethu and 1-2 to CRPF.

The runners-up from the prior season In their matchup against Celtic Queens FC on Wednesday at the Shahibaug Police Stadium in Group B of the Hero Indian Women’s League, Sethu Madurai FC is certain that they will play excellent football.

Joseph Naik, the head coach of Sethu FC, wants his team to play with composure despite being top of the table after two victories in two games thus far. “The team played outstandingly in the last two games, and we want to continue that trend. We’re concentrating on winning a single match at a time, said Naik.

Celtic Queens FC, on the other hand, having lost their last two matches, are desperate to get a positive result from this match. The side from Puducherry are bottom of the standings after losing 0-4 to Lords FA and 0-3 to Eastern Sporting Union.
Eastern Sporting Union will be looking to extend their winning streak as they face Odisha FC in the other Group B clash at 8:00 am IST at the TransStadia on Wednesday.
Eastern Sporting Union, who won the inaugural Hero IWL title in 2016-17, have won their first two matches of the current season – 1-0 over Kickstart and 3-0 against Celtic Queens.

Head Coach Lourembam Ronibala Chanu said the girls are fully ready to face Odisha FC. Having won the title before, they know how to handle the pressure before big games like these.
Odisha FC suffered a disappointing 0-2 loss to Kickstart in their last game, but head coach Crispin Chettri believes that they have everything in them to snatch a win against the former champions.
