Actor Chris Evans revealed that reprising his role as Johnny Storm in Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is a memorable experience for him, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He shared his gratitude on Instagram Stories, thanking the film’s cast and director for the opportunity to return to the superhero role after a 17-year break. “Thank you to Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy for letting me be a part of such an incredible movie!” Evans wrote. “They’re three of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Special thank you to Ryan for making it all happen. Playing Johnny again was a dream come true and he’ll always have a special place in my heart.”

The ‘Ghosted’ star also posted a photo of himself with three men on the set of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ While Evans is widely known for his portrayal of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until his departure in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ some fans may not remember that he previously played another superhero. He essayed the role of Johnny Storm in ‘Fantastic Four’ (2005) and its sequel ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’ (2007).

When Evans appeared in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ alongside Reynolds and Jackman, many fans anticipated he would portray a multiverse version of Captain America. However, it was soon revealed that he was actually playing a version of Johnny Storm, continuing to fly high as the Human Torch, much to Deadpool’s surprise.

The ‘Knives Out’ star is among several guest appearances in the film, which also features Jennifer Garner returning as Elektra, Wesley Snipes back as Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is now showing in theaters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
