The second ‘Chintan Shivir’ of senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs commenced in New Delhi on Friday, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah leading the event. The main purpose of this ‘Chintan Shivir’ is to engage with senior officials from the ministry and develop a strategic plan to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Vision 2047’.

During the first ‘Chintan Shivir’ held on April 18, Shah highlighted various key areas for development, including establishing a robust framework for managing cybercrime, modernizing police forces, leveraging information technology in the criminal justice system, strengthening land border management, and enhancing coastal security measures.

The Union Minister emphasized the importance of utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to effectively utilize the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) database for comprehensive crime analysis. This initiative aims to create safer environments for women, children, and vulnerable sections of society.

The primary objective of the initial ‘Chintan Shivir’ was to assess the ministry’s work and formulate an action plan to realize PM Narendra Modi’s “Vision 2047”. Shah also underscored the necessity to expedite the recruitment process and emphasized the importance of initiating recruitment well in advance to anticipate future vacancies.
