Regarding the preparation of the meeting to be held with the Chief Secretary on Wednesday for the Annual Program Implementation Plan (APIP) 2024-25, the chairmanship of Government Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Krishna Kunal and the presence of Director Integrated Child Development Services, SOP Bunkar, a preparatory meeting was held in the department on Tuesday.
Government Secretary Shri Kunal said in the meeting that they aim to make Anganwadi centres sustainable and self-reliant by equipping them with adequate resources.
He said, “New government buildings should be constructed quickly for Anganwadi centres operating in rented buildings. Drinking water should be made available at Anganwadi centres by making tap connections. Water will be provided at toilets at Anganwadi centres. Besides, new toilets with water supply shall also be constructed. Five thousand new electricity connections will be made at Anganwadi centres. We aim to quickly fill the vacant posts in the department and Anganwadis.”
The Government Secretary gave necessary guidelines for the Convergence Action Plan year 2024-25 by discussing in detail all the prerequisites and work done and expected related to the departments of Medicine, Education, Agriculture, Public Health Engineering, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperation, Energy and AYUSH.
