Special Lok Adalat Organized in District and Session Court, Panchkula, under the Chairmanship of District and Session Judge Ved Prakash Sirohi
Panchkula: The District and Session Judge, Ved Prakash Sirohi, chaired a Lok Adalat organized by the District Legal Services Authority and the National Lok Adalat in the Sub-Division of Kalka. Chief Justice and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, reported that the Lok Adalat successfully addressed a total of 3672 cases out of 4513 cases presented.
In cases related to motor vehicle accidents, a settlement amount of 83.4 million rupees was distributed. The Lok Adalat, held under the guidance of the District and Session Judge and organized by the District Legal Services Authority, aimed to provide swift justice to the litigants and promote the concept of Lok Adalats for speedy dispute resolution.
Chief Justice Rajesh Kumar Yadav emphasized the satisfaction of the people with the Lok Adalat and urged the continued organization of Lok Adalats on a monthly basis to promptly resolve pending cases in various courts. He highlighted the positive impact of Lok Adalats on reducing the time and cost of litigation for the public.Rajesh Kumar Yadav also informed that Lok Adalats are organized twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays, focusing on the pre-litigation stage to address issues related to electricity, water, and other pre-litigation matters. The Permanent Lok Adalat is established at the District ADR Center in Panchkula, where cases can be filed on any working day.
