The menace of corruption has always been a matter of serious concern in the state. Be it the universities or other educational institutions, cases of corruption continued to surface, requiring the state government as well as the Department of Higher Education to tighten the noose around the neck of concerned officials. Such issues used to be echoed continuously in the Vidhan Sabha as well. In the last few years, cases of corruption, irregularities in jobs, and nepotism have also been reported in the universities of the state.
In continuation to aforesaid, it came to light that very serious allegations of corruption have been levelled in Gurugram universities against the VC, Dr. Dinesh Agarwal, and the Registrar, Dr. Rajiv Singh, along with other senior officials. Regarding the issue, a complaint has also been filed with the Director of Higher Education, seeking a probe into the matter. In this matter, Arun Kumar (who mentioned himself as a faculty member on a contractual basis) has recently submitted a complaint to headquarter.
In the wake of the complaint, Gurugram University’s VC, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Aggarwal, and Registrar, Dr. Rajeev Singh, have been accused of corruption and irregularities in recruitment at the institute. Apart from this, a complaint has also been filed against Dr. Dhirendra Kaushik (a former faculty member of KU) of the Institute’s Pharmacy Department and Suman Vashisht, OSD of the VC. It is also mentioned in the complaint that Dr. Dhirendra has courted several controversies.
