Chandigarh Smart City proudly displayed its accomplishments at the 31st Convergence India & 9th Smart Cities India Expo, held from January 17th to 19th, 2024, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Among the highlighted initiatives were the Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) Dashboard, the successful Adaptive Traffic Control System (ATCS), Real-time Video Analytics, and the state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Diggian.

An exclusive section at the expo featured the Public Bike Sharing Project, showcasing visuals of Chandigarh’s dedicated cycle tracks, bus queue shelters, and e-bikes. Additionally, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation’s innovative products from horticulture and floral waste, along with C&D products, were prominently displayed.

Anindita Mitra, Chief Executive Officer of Chandigarh Smart City Limited, shared insights, stating, “The Expo provides an excellent platform to highlight our city’s transformative projects and innovative solutions.”

Kunal Kumar, Joint Secretary & Mission Director of Smart Cities Mission, visited Chandigarh Smart City’s exhibition stall, expressing satisfaction with the showcased projects and interacting with the team.

The 31st Convergence India and 9th Smart Cities India Expo, a collaborative initiative by the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), and Exhibitions India Group (EIG), emphasises India’s global prominence.
This year’s theme, ‘Brand India,’ showcases 250 home-grown startups alongside 1,200

global exhibitors. The event boasts over 200 speakers, 250 startups, and networking opportunities for 55,000 business visitors and 1,500 delegates. Organizers anticipate around 55,000 visitors over the three-day event, featuring over 50 conference sessions with government officials, industry leaders, Smart City CEOs, city planners, mayors, ambassadors, and global stakeholders.
