Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said such events aid in the development of culture while she was present at the International Dance and Music Festival on Sunday at Chandigarh University. She told that singers and dancers from India and other countries have arrived and will share their cultures with the audience through their performances.
“This is a very good initiative.This programme makes true PM Modi’s mantra of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which is quite commendable,” the Union Minister said.
She added that the dance and music of different countries tell us about their cultures and “prove very helpful in the development of some cultures”.
