Chandigarh Literary Society’s (CLS) first literary event of the year 2023 was organized at Sector 28, Haryana Panchayat Bhawan, in the presence of Dr. Sumita Misra, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana. Notably, Dr. Sumita Mishra holds the portfolio of chairperson of the society. In the Poetry seminar, 20 litterateurs recited their selfwritten compositions on various subjects. It is a noticeable fact that along with administrative efficiency, Dr. Sumita Misra also has a different identity as a sensitive heart. Recently, her poetry collection “Lamhon Ki Shabnam” was released by the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar. With her efficient working style she continues to bring laurels to the state.   Apart from this, the Chief Minister himself recited some of her poems, which depicts how the compositions composed by her touch the hearts of the common man as well as the elite class.  Dr. Sumita Misra also specially emphasized on the knowledge of Hindi and Indian languages along with other languages so that we can present our thoughts eloquently. She is equally active in Hindi and English in terms of literary creations.  Renowned writers and writers of Chandigarh – Alka Kansra, Dr. Sunit Madan, Rekha Mittal, Dilpreet Chahal, Dr. Vinay Bansal, Dr. Aditya Ratna, Neelam Narang, Seema Gupta, Rajinder Sarao, Dr. Romika Wadhera, Rita Rana, Shivam and Abha participated. All the creators gave their presentations on various topics and held a beautiful ceremony. Dr. Vinay Bansal on ‘Rose Garden’, Dr. Ashok Vadera on ‘Bheeg Raha Hoon Baarish Mein’, Sarika Dhupar on ‘Maa’, and Alka Kansra on ‘Question’, evoked a great response by presenting their creations.
