Health experts evaluated the city’s management strategies to combat this variant, potentially leading to the issuance of a new advisory for the public. Concurrently, the administration had released guidance urging mask-wearing and avoidance of crowded spaces.
Following the discovery of one case of JN.1 in Kerala, the Chandigarh Health Department took immediate action. People were instructed to stay vigilant, with advisories reinstated to wear masks, practice frequent handwashing, and avoid crowded areas.
Additionally, the Health Department cautioned against self-medication, particularly advising the elderly and individuals with existing health conditions to remain alert.Chandigarh’s Health department has issued an advisory as a precaution.
