Chandigarh is slowly being grabbed by drug dealers. Drugs are sold at Sector-43 bus stand in Chandigarh. This was revealed by Councilor Premlata from AAP in Chandigarh. She said that she found a young woman in an intoxicated stage and the victim girl had been suffering and intoxicated for months at the bus stand.
According to Councilor Premlata, on Monday morning she went to drop her daughter at the bus stand. There a young woman was sitting in a corner covered in a blanket in quite a suspicious condition. When she reached the girl and interacted with her, the victim’s statement shocked the counselor. The counselor immediately informed the local police about the woman. After this, the policemen reached the spot.
Premlata said that during interrogation, it was found that she had been staying at the bus stand in a drunken state for the last 3 months. The shopkeepers nearby also responded to the councilor. Premlata said that the girl is sold drugs at the bus stand. Even about 4 boys molested her last night while in her intoxication state. The police post is very close to the place where the girl was sitting.
Premlata said that when she inquired at her level, it was found that there were 4 women residents of Kajheri who provided drug addiction to the woman. The female drug vendor comes to the bus stand and sells drugs to the girl. Seeing this situation, the counselor said that she would launch a campaign against the drug with an NGO and the association. She also appealed to the SSP of Chandigarh for strict action against drugs.
