Chandigarh Congress has welcomed the comments of the Supreme Court, stating that it is clear that during the mayoral election on January 30, Anil Masiha, the elected officer from Peethasim, indulged in malpractices with ballot papers, and a case should be filed against him.

Rajiv Sharma, spokesperson for Chandigarh Congress, commented after the interim orders of the Supreme Court in the mayoral election case, saying that Chandigarh Congress has been demanding from the beginning that criminal proceedings should be initiated against Anil Masiha for the betrayal and illegal actions committed as an elected officer, and the party has been staging protests on the streets for this cause. Chandigarh Congress has also demanded an investigation into the role of other senior officials associated with the conduct of elections, as they are also equal participants in these anti-democratic conspiracies.

Chandigarh Congress appreciates the orders of the Supreme Court, which include suspending the meetings of the Municipal Corporation’s House and sealing the election-related documents, as this will expose the BJP’s conspiracies to subvert democracy in the country.

Chandigarh Congress appeals to the general public to oppose the BJP’s efforts to destroy democracy in the country with their full strength and defeat this divisive party with the power of their votes in the upcoming opportunities.
