The Government of India has officially designated Goldy Brar as a terrorist, citing his involvement in various terrorist activities as a fugitive. Brar, known for his alleged connection to the murder and conspiracy against Sidhu Moosewala, is identified by his real name, Satinderjit Brar. Currently residing in Canada, he hails from Faridkot, Punjab.

Wanted for severe offences including murder, attempted murder, and drug trafficking, Brar is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, a fellow Punjabi gangster incarcerated in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Canadian authorities’ BOLO program has listed Brar among their top 25 most wanted fugitives. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) report has tied Brar and the Bishnoi gang to pro-Khalistan organisations.

A Faridpur court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Brar for the murder of District Youth Congress President Gurlal Singh Pehalwan in May 2022. Shortly after, on May 29, 2022, Brar allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting of Sidhu Moose Wala, an Indian singer and politician, via a Facebook post.

Brar is an integral member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, notorious for various high-profile crimes, including the murder of senior police officials. Currently evading authorities in India and Canada, the Indian government has issued a Red Corner Notice against him. This designation permits arrest and extradition to any Interpol member country.
