The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting blocked right YouTube channels on Thursday. Of the eight blocked YouTube channels, there was one channel based in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the channel was spreading disinformation related to India’s national security, foreign relations, and public order.
Moreover, under the IT Rule, 2021 the ministry blocked seven Indian and one Pakistan-based YouTube news.
According to the information, the blocked channels had over 114 crore views and 85,73,000. However, fake anti-India content was being monetized on these YouTube channels.
Furthermore, the ministry on 25 April blocked 16 YouTube news channels including 10 Indian and 6 Pakistani channels. These channels are used to spread misinformation related to India’s national security, and foreign relations.
