Anuradha Tiwari, a self-identified “proud Brahmin,” ignited controversy on social media with her bold declaration, “Just got my car stamped with #BrahminGenes.” Her post underscores the persistent caste-based identity and discrimination that continues to exist within Indian society.

Tiwari shared an image of her car adorned with “Brahmin genes” stickers, accompanied by the statement: “Born of wisdom, built on strength, and a torchbearer of Hinduism. Proud to be a Brahmin!” This isn’t the first time Tiwari has made public remarks about her caste pride. In August, she caused further outrage by comparing the treatment of Brahmins in India to the persecution of Jews, stating, “Brahmins are the new Jews of India.”

Her controversial statements have drawn sharp reactions online, with many accusing her of promoting caste supremacy. One user pointed out the contradiction in her remarks, noting that true “torchbearers of Hinduism” do not propagate caste superiority, but instead speak for the entire Hindu community. Others criticized the deep-rooted caste system in India, calling for an end to such divisive attitudes.

The comments highlight the ongoing debate surrounding caste identity in modern India, where some argue for the dismantling of the outdated system while others continue to assert its significance.
