As many as 30 Caregivers understood the concept of Mental Health. Arya Hospital Neuropsychiatry, a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Social Workers arranged a comprehensive program ‘Care for Caregivers’ on this World Mental Health Day. There was a team of panellists. Dr. K.L. Garg gave valuable information on treatment and guidelines to maintain compliance. Dr Prof. Roshan Lal stressed the neglect of the elderly and various issues seen in the elderly. He also guided caregivers with some useful tips for relaxation and catharsis and how to ventilate their emotions. With his vast experience, he also guided parents about the importance of healthy relationships with children. Dr Lalit Kumar Singh, Assist. Prof. Clinical Psychology Department of Psychiatry, PGIMER, Chandigarh, spoke on the current matter of mobile addiction in children, how it is affecting children and the role of parenting in such cases. He also spoke about the significance of treatment, both medically and psychologically; and how psychotherapy and hypnotherapy are important tools in treating various mental disorders.
