Narcotic substances suspected to be heroin have been recovered by Border Security Force (BSF) near the India-Pakistan border in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab. Meanwhile, during the patrolling BSF troops heard the sound on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday of something being thrown over the border fence. After which BSF troops fired towards them but smugglers managed to escape and 2.5 kg heroin was recovered. However, further investigation is underway.
