BSF recovers 3 packets of suspected narcotics dropped by drone in Punjab's Ferozepur

The Border Security Force (BSF) found three packages of suspected drugs and an indicator ball that had been dropped by a drone close to the Ferozepur border in Punjab on Wednesday morning.

An official statement states that on June 14, 2023, at around 7.30 AM, the BSF conducted a search operation on the outskirts of Maboke village in Ferozepur district based on specific information.

According to a statement from the BSF during the search, BSF troops recovered a black colour bag containing 3 small Packets of suspected narcotics (Gross weight – 2.6 kg) along with one indicator ball, dropped by drone, from a farming field outside of Maboke village in Ferozepur district.

The statement said, “Vigilant BSF troops once again foiled the nefarious attempts to smuggle contraband.” State police assisted BSF in two locations in Punjab on June 12 during joint operations.

The Border Security Force (BSF) located a drone on the outskirts of Rajoke village in Tarn Taran district during the first joint search operation with Punjab Police. A joint search operation between the BSF and Punjab Police was started on the outskirts of Rajoke village, Tarn Taran district, on Sunday night in response to specific information.

In a separate incident, the BSF in Amritsar found two packets of heroin close to the border barrier. Officials said that after acting on specific information, a suspected farmer was located and arrested.
