In 2023, the Border Security Force (BSF) arrested 744 individuals who were attempting to enter India illegally from Bangladesh via the International Border in Tripura. 112 Rohingya illegal migrants (RIMs), 337 citizens of Bangladesh, and 295 Indians were among those who were taken into custody during various operations. According to a senior BSF officer, BSF Tripura Frontier has carried out a variety of tasks in Tripura over the years, including fighting the insurgency, preserving the integrity of the border, and stopping various trans-border crimes. It has done so while operating in harsh weather conditions in many of its operational areas, including remote, hostile terrain and areas heavily infected with malaria.

During the year 2023, the BSF troops of the Tripura Frontier have maintained extremely high levels of surveillance and alertness. As a result, BSF has successfully rescued 1,980 Cattle heads and seized contraband items like 2,02,535 Bottles of Phensedyl, 16,750 kgs of Ganja, 98,003 Yaba tablets, four kg Gold, 289.78 gms Silver, 1185.465 grams Brown Sugar, arms and ammunition, Bangladeshi Currency worth1,07,17,980 Taka and miscellaneous items worth Rs 41 cr and also apprehended 112 Rohingya Illegal Migrants (RIMs), 337 Bangladeshi nationals and 295 Indian in different operations.
In close coordination with state and central agencies, 20,12,400 (approximately) Ganja saplings, being grown illegally on 1,007 acres in the state of Tripura, were destroyed by uprooting or burning in joint operations.
