All of the allegations against basketball player Brendan Paul, who was previously charged with serving as Sean “Diddy” Combs’ purported drug courier, have been officially withdrawn.

Brian Bieber, the lawyer for Paul, testified that the case had been dismissed outright. “The case has been resolved and dismissed completely now that Brendan has completed the diversion program offered by the prosecutor,” Bieber said.

Paul was reportedly detained in March on suspicion of carrying both cocaine and marijuana. By May, he had signed up for a pretrial diversion program that allowed the charges to be dropped if he finished it. According to Bieber, the charges have been dropped because Paul has finished the program.

This disclosure comes as Diddy is dealing with more severe legal allegations in a broader case involving sex trafficking and racketeering. The entertainment tycoon has denied each claim that has been placed against him. Diddy vented his dissatisfaction in a statement released in December of last year, saying, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. People have been trying to ruin my legacy, reputation, and character over the last two weeks, so I have kept quiet.” He also dismissed the charges as “sickening” and attributed them to people looking to make money. The start date of Diddy’s criminal trial is May 5, 2025.
