A threat to bomb Haryana’s railway stations has been received from the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. The terrorist organization sent the name of the DRM of Ambala division in the letter. The letter claims that bomb blasts will occur at different railway stations in Haryana on November 26 and December 6. Ambala Cantt Police has registered a case against unknown individuals in response to this threat. The police have initiated an investigation.

This action was taken based on a complaint from the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The letter mentioned that on November 26, railway stations including Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar, Shimla, Chandigarh, and Saharanpur, among others falling under Ambala division, would be targeted.

In the letter, threats were made to bomb railway bridges in Rewari, Hisar, and Sirsa in Haryana, as well as the Chief Minister and Governor of Haryana. There were also mentions of targeting major temples and Gurudwaras in Ambala, several temples in Himachal, military temples and Gurudwaras, and airports on December 6. The police have registered a case under criminal sections and initiated an investigation.

GRP and RPF have increased patrolling at the station, and senior officials have begun meeting to strengthen the station’s security. It is expected that District Police, the Bomb Squad, and the Commando Squad will be called upon for station security. This way, if any untoward incident occurs, a team can be immediately dispatched to control the situation.

November is known as the month of festivals, with Diwali falling on November 12th, followed by Govardhan Puja on November 13th. The markets see a surge in crowds due to these festivals, and railway stations, like bus stations, experience higher footfall than usual. As a result, it has become crucial for the police administration to remain active.

There has been no statement from the Haryana government regarding the Lashkar-e-Taiba warning. However, it is reported that the Haryana Director General of Police has taken this secret information seriously and is investigating the terrorist organization’s warning at a confidential level.
