The release of the new song “Khoobsurat” from the film Stree 2 has generated considerable excitement for the upcoming movie. Featuring Shraddha Kapoor, who stars alongside Rajkummar Rao and the latest cast member, Varun Dhawan, the track captures the playful romantic tension between Rao and Dhawan as they compete to win over Kapoor.
“Khoobsurat” is set to be a highlight of the film, blending romance and drama in a distinctive manner that connects the worlds of Stree with Varun Dhawan’s 2022 supernatural comedy Bhediya. The song is performed by Vishal Mishra and composed by the renowned music duo Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Sachin-Jigar also handled the song’s arrangement and design, while Eric Pillai managed the mixing and mastering at FSOB Studio, with support from Michael Edwin Pillai.
Sachin-Jigar expressed their excitement about the track, saying, “Khoobsurat is a beautiful ballad we created with the essence of its meaning in mind. It was a joy to compose something so heartfelt and genuine. We hope people enjoy it as much as we do. Vishal Mishra has poured his heart into the vocals, adding a special touch.”
Vishal Mishra shared his personal connection to the song, noting, “I aimed to convey that true beauty comes from within, not just from the mirror. This song is about self-acceptance and inner light. I hope it resonates with every listener, especially women, and reinforces their self-worth.”
Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Stree 2 is a horror-comedy film set to release in theaters on August 15, 2024.
