Sender Of ₹5 Crore Death Threat To Salman Khan Issues Apology

In a shocking twist in the ongoing Salman Khan-Lawrence Bishnoi controversy, the individual who previously sent a death threat demanding ₹5 crore from the Bollywood actor has issued an apology, claiming the threatening WhatsApp message was sent by mistake. This development comes just days after the initial threat garnered significant media attention.

The Initial Threat

On October 18, Mumbai Traffic Police received a menacing message in which the sender demanded ₹5 crore from Salman Khan to “end enmity” with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and ensure the actor’s safety. The threatening message warned that if the payment was not made, “Salman Khan’s condition will be worse than Baba Siddique,” referring to the recent murder of the former Nationalist Congress Party leader.

According to reports, the sender stated, “Don’t take it lightly; if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he will have to pay ₹5 crore.” The chilling message raised alarms, given the context of the ongoing gang rivalries in Mumbai.

Apology and Investigation

On Monday, the Mumbai Traffic Police received another message from the same WhatsApp number, where the sender admitted that the previous threat was sent by mistake and apologized for it. Authorities have since traced the sender’s location to Jharkhand and are continuing their investigation into the matter.

Context: The Murder of Baba Siddique

The death threat comes in the wake of the murder of Baba Siddique, who was shot dead on October 12 outside his son’s office in Mumbai. Following the murder, a person claiming affiliation with Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang took responsibility, warning that anyone close to Salman Khan would face a similar fate. This context has heightened the urgency of the police’s response to the threats against the actor.

As the investigation unfolds, the incident highlights the serious nature of threats in the film industry and the potential consequences of gang-related violence.
