Bickram Ghosh Releases New Track ‘Veer’ with collab from Grammy winner Rakesh Chaurasia

Indian classical musician Bickram Ghosh has recently unveiled another track from his album ‘Glorious India’ titled ‘Veer.’ Through ‘Glorious India’ Ghosh skillfully intertwines various melodies, celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage and patriotic essence of the nation.

The musical anthem showcases Grammy winner Rakesh Chaurasia, Violinist Kumaresh Rajagopalan, Mridangam player Sekhar, along with various percussion instruments, and Bickram Ghosh. Keyboard Programming is handled by Kunal Das, while Arun Kumar contributes on drums, and John Paul on electric guitar. The mixing is done by Bishwadeep Chatterjee and mastering by Barry Phillips.

The track is co-produced by Bickram Ghosh’s production company Eternal Sounds, in collaboration with Utsav Parekh, Mayank Jalan, and Gaurang Jalan.

Chaurasia has appeared on the album ‘As We Speak,’ a joint venture with American banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck, double bassist Edgar Meyer, and Padma Vibhushan tabla player Zakir Hussain.

Having received nominations in three Grammy categories – Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, Best Instrumental Composition, and Best Global Music Performance – ‘As We Speak’ secured victories in the Best Contemporary Instrumental and Best Global Music Performance categories.

Chaurasia, mentored by his legendary uncle, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, continues the esteemed tradition of the Maihar Gharana.
