Allu Aravind, a seasoned film producer and father of Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun, declared a financial contribution of ₹2 crores for the eight-year-old boy injured in the Sandhya Theatre stampede on December 4. This unfortunate event, which took place during the opening of *Pushpa 2* while Allu Arjun was present at the theatre, resulted in the death of the boy’s 35-year-old mother.
Arjun, who is presently facing charges in relation to the incident, was interrogated by the police on Tuesday about his involvement.
Joined by Dil Raju and others, Allu Aravind went to the private hospital where the boy is being cared for. After consulting the medical staff, Aravind felt relieved to learn that the boy, Sri Teja, is on the mend and no longer needs a ventilator.
During a media interview, Allu Aravind mentioned, “The boy, Sri Teja, is recovering. Now he is not on a ventilator. To assist the family, we should aid him with ₹2 crore: ₹1 crore by Allu Arjun, ₹50 lakh by Mythri Movie Makers, and ₹50 lakh by director Sukumar. We will extend this help through Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju. ”
Regarding his visit to the family, Aravind remarked, “I cannot interact with the family due to the legal matters. With police consent, I visited him once, 10 days ago, when he was recuperating. ”
Dil Raju, producer and chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, also addressed the media. He stated, “There is a meeting scheduled for tomorrow with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and we have arranged an appointment. We have invited most of the notable figures in the industry. ”
The boy’s father, Bhaskar, provided an update on his son’s status, indicating that Sri Teja has shown signs of improvement and is now off oxygen and ventilator assistance. However, doctors noted that complete recovery would require some time.
Bhaskar also shared that he had been given ₹10 lakh from Allu Arjun and additional support from the film’s production team as well as Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. When questioned about the chance of retracting his complaint, Bhaskar stated that he had received help from Allu Arjun’s team right after the incident and affirmed that there was no pressure to withdraw the case.
The hospital issued an update on Sri Teja’s health, stating: “Sri Teja continues to maintain stable vital parameters on his own without any oxygen or ventilatory support. His sensorium is similar, with spontaneous eye opening and limb movements, but there is still no meaningful eye contact or recognition of family members. ” The hospital further mentioned that while the boy reacts to verbal prompts, he is yet to follow oral commands. He is managing feeds through a nasogastric tube and has been afebrile for three days.
