Jennie from BLACKPINK recently took time off during her US visit to get away to an offbeat destination in West Hollywood. She spotted at Sushi Park, the humble restaurant that has gained popularity and fed notable celebrities such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence, and Emma Stone.
Jennie Kim was caught out and about at Sushi Park on 17 September 2024 with close friend BamBam from GOT7, just days after Lisa of BLACKPINK. The outing immediately went viral shortly after her photos popped up on Instagram user @jpeghype. Soon after, Jennie posted a series of solo shots through her SNS profile wearing the very same all-black outfit she was spotted in while seeing BamBam.

The paparazzi was wild with pictures of Jennie and BamBam together, especially since they are both promoting their own discographies, too. Comments on the social media sites focused on their excitement, one Instagram user saying, “This Sushi Park is so famous,” and another commenter just begging for more photos of Jennie and BamBam. Fans got excited seeing that Jennie and BamBam are besties behind the scenes, and some fans were shocked to find out Jennie was in LA instead of Korea.
Other photos resurfaced showing Silvergun who is choreographer to YG and members of Odd Atelier, and the rumors began circling regarding Jennie’s new endeavour.
Fans were highly energetic and loved Jennie’s outfit “Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cover it” said one fan, with many else seeking for her to continue posting it.
Sushi Park is the restaurant which Jennie and BamBam visited, with an omakase-style menu, where the chef makes what they want. The New York Times commented that the restaurant has a strict policy: “Attention. No Takeout! No Salad! No Teriyaki, Tempura! No Trendy Sushi! No California Roll! No Spicy Tuna Roll! We serve only Traditional Sushi!” Even though this restaurant is a hotspot for celebrities, the chef and owner Peter Park has been avoiding publicity in order to serve regular customers and he rejected interview requests more than once.
