BJP candidate Gopal Sharma, a senior journalist and Civil Lines addressed a press conference at Pink City Press Club. During this, in response to questions about the involvement of Minister Pratap Singh Kachariyawas in the transport scandal, he said, “Many scandals have occurred during Congress rule. The transport scandal is a small matter. When we come to power, we will expose all their deeds, and no leader will be spared.”
Earlier Pratap Singh claimed that he does not know Gopal Sharma. Mocking this, Sharma said, “Pratap Singh is the nephew of former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. I have had an unbroken relationship with Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, and I have been with him for about 27 years. In this way, Pratap Singh’s statement is very wrong because the entire family of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat knows me well.” Gopal Sharma said that such statements for politics do not suit Congress candidate Pratap Singh Kachariyawas, who is also a minister and from Civil Lines.
Gopal Sharma said that he is fighting this election on three issues. These include arrogance vs. humility, appeasement vs. nationalism, and corruption vs. honesty. He said that as a journalist, he has visited all the assembly constituencies in the state, and he has the birth charts of all the Congress leaders who have done what at which place.
Gopal Sharma said, “I was preparing from Sanganer, and I was receiving a lot of love from the public there. However, the organisation did not give him a ticket from Sanganer. In this situation, getting a ticket from Civil Lines is the grace of God.”
He also said that some people consider him an outsider. While the reality is that he has been with Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in Civil Lines for a long time. After that, he stayed in Civil Lines even when he was with the family. Therefore, no one can call him an outsider.
