Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the AAP, was the target of a protest on Tuesday by BJP members calling for his resignation. The BJP supporters can be seen carrying signs and yelling insults at Delhi Mayor Kejriwal. Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party leaders, BJP Delhi President Virendraa Sachdeva claimed that the group was made up entirely of corrupt and criminal individuals and that Delhi residents were tired of their corruption.

“Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is filled with criminals and corrupt people. The people of Delhi are fed with their corruption. So BJP’s leaders and Delhi workers are doing ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyaan’ in Delhi at several locations against Arvind Kejriwal,” Sachdeva told.

When asked about the raids being conducted at the premises of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, the Delhi BJP president said that he is involved in corruption, investigation agencies will do their work.
“Jaise jaise kadiya mil rahi hai, waise waise zanjeer ban rahi hai’. If you did the corruption, then the investigation agencies will do their work. If you were honest then it won’t happen,” he said.

This follows the searches made at Amanatullah Khan’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office in connection with a money laundering investigation. In accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act’s (PMLA) provisions, searches are being conducted. The cases concern alleged corruption in connection with unauthorized appointments to the Delhi Waqf Board, whose chairman is Khan. On the basis of the discovery of allegedly incriminating documents and other evidence, Khan was detained by the Anti-Corruption Bureau in September of last year in connection with the Delhi Waqf Board corruption case. He was later given bail, though.
