Haryana BJP has intensified preparations for the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. After getting a huge majority in three states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, BJP has returned to the brainstorming session regarding the ongoing alliance with JJP in the state. After JJP’s shameful performance in Rajasthan, political relations in Haryana may be affected.

Of course, the final decision regarding the alliance has to be taken at the central level, but the report of the Haryana unit is also very important. BJP’s Haryana affairs in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb has already held meetings with all the leaders and workers and given feedback to the leadership.

Now after the landslide victory in three states, a fresh round of meetings has started. In this context, an important meeting of BJP and Sangh leaders was held at the residence of CM Manohar Lal in the presence of CM Manohar Lal late on Tuesday evening. In the meeting held at CM’s Kothi No. 2, state in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb, state president Naib Singh Saini, former state president and national secretary Omprakash Dhankhar, RSS provincial union leader Pawan Jindal, RSS provincial pracharak Vijay Kumar and state organization minister fanindranath Sharma. 16 leaders were present.

From Wednesday, the CM is also starting meetings with divisional and district heads. About 85 leaders have been called to Chandigarh. It is believed that Haryana BJP is in a mood to conduct assembly elections along with Lok Sabha. If the green signal is received from the Centre, then the state government can decide on dissolving the assembly after presenting its budget in February-March.

Sources say that in this meeting, apart from the change in the cabinet, there was also discussion regarding the expansion of the organization. The tenure of eight district heads has been completed. There has been speculation about changes in the organization since Naib Singh Saini became the state president. He may also meet party president JP Nadda regarding this issue in the next few days. The organization will be formed keeping the upcoming elections in mind.

Sources associated with the government have indicated that there may be some changes in the cabinet in the coming days. Reshuffle is also possible in the departments of existing ministers. There are also reports that there may be cuts to JJP quota departments. This may also create a dispute between the two parties. It is very possible that this possible dispute may play a big role in their separation.

At present, JJP holds many important departments including Excise and Taxation, Revenue and Disaster Management, Development and Panchayat, Food and Supplies, Industry and Commerce, Labour, Civil Aviation. Independents are with the government. Of course, BJP does not have absolute majority but independent MLAs are with it. Of the seven independents, except Meham MLA Balraj Kundu, six have been with the BJP since the beginning.

BJP has 41 MLAs in the ninety-member Haryana Assembly. The support of ten JJP MLAs is with the government. If it comes to separation, the government can continue running even with the help of six independents. Halopa MLA from Sirsa Gopal Kanda is also supporting the government.
