Deepak Prakash, a BJP lawmaker, charged Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, on Friday with abusing his authority and using government resources against local BJP leaders. Deepak Prakash said, “Hemant Soren’s government in Jharkhand is intimidated and corrupt; as a result, anyone who makes a statement critical of the administration or the chief minister risks having an FIR filed against them.
He is misusing government machinery and power against state BJP leaders. Similar FIRs have been lodged against 546 BJP workers in the entire Jharkhand state.”
Referring to Jharkhand BJP chief Babulal Marandi booked for allegedly making derogatory and defamatory remarks against the Soren family, the BJP MP said that the entire party workers are ready to fight against the state government.
“Babulal Marandi is not afraid and his struggle will continue against the anti-people Hemant Soren government. The entire party workers are ready to fight against the state government along with Babulal Marandi,” MP Prakash added.
He further alleged that the state government does not “believe in democracy” calling it an “unfortunate situation.”
“It is a very unfortunate situation that the Hemant Soren government does not believe in democracy or democratic systems and is working to curb freedom of expression in the state. That’s why they are registering FIR against BJP leaders. Babulal Marandi did not use any such language due to which FIR should be lodged against him but it is also a fact that each and every worker of BJP is against the government. The government is scared and so CM Soren is resorting to killing democracy but the time has come to bid farewell to this government in the state,” MP Prakash said.
At the Kanke police station in Ranchi, an FIR has been filed against Babulal Marandi, the state president of the Jharkhand BJP, for allegedly making insulting and defamatory remarks about the Soren family, including Shibu Soren and the state’s chief executive Hemant Soren.
