Jammu, March 01: BJP Likely to repeat Sitting MPs Dr. Jitender Singh and Jugal Kishor Sharma for Lok Sabha Polls.
In a pivotal development preceding the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Central Election Committee is poised to unveil the names of incumbent Members of Parliament as its candidates for various constituencies. Top party sources reveal that Dr. Jitender Singh is set to contest from Udhampur, while Jugal Kishor Sharma will vie for the seat from Jammu.
This decision comes in the wake of extensive discussions during a meeting convened on Thursday night, wherein deliberations encompassed the selection of candidates for approximately 156 seats spanning 17 states. Dr. Jitender Singh and Jugal Kishor Sharma, both serving MPs, have garnered confirmation to secure tickets for the forthcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections.
“Both are sitting MPs, Dr. Jitender Singh from Udhampur and Jugal Kishor Sharma from Jammu. They will be getting tickets again in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024,” affirmed a reliable party source.
Additionally, sources suggest that deliberations are ongoing regarding the allocation of candidates for the four seats, namely Poonch-Anantnag, Srinagar, Baramulla, and Ladakh seat, indicating that the party is meticulously weighing its options in strategic constituencies.
