While Rajasthan’s former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot opened a new front against his political rival and chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party slammed Rahul Gandhi’s recent ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ advising him to first focus on ‘Congress ko Congress se jodo’ (unite the Congress).

Pilot declared a day-long fast on Tuesday to demand action from his government over alleged corruption during the state’s BJP rule. The latest development has highlighted the power struggle within the state Congress between the Pilot and Gehlot factions, putting pressure on the central leadership to find a solution before the upcoming year-end assembly election.

Shehzad Poonawalla, national spokesperson for the BJP, tweeted, “After listening to Pilot Ek khyaal aaya. First Gehlot, Rahul Ji, and Pilot Jodo. After that, DK and Siddharamiah jodo. Then there’s Maken and Sandeep Dikshit jodo. Raja Warring Jodo and Sidhu. NCP ki phir se jodo. The country of India is already united, but the Congress is Tukde Tukde – Tooti Footi. Congress is in session. Congress, Congress, Congress. “Baki chodo.”
