Following their defeat in the recent Rajasthan assembly elections, the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), an ally of the ruling BJP in Haryana, appears to be under pressure. Opposition parties are criticizing the JJP, claiming the party couldn’t secure its position across all 19 seats. Following the same, there are discussions and signs of a feud between the main ruling BJP and JJP. With both parties fighting against each other in the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, talks pertaining to the existence and future of the alliance continue to prevail. Notably, the Assembly elections are due towards the end of 2024 in Haryana. Political experts believe that due to the increased division between the factions, new political changes are likely to emerge.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the verbal spat between the stalwarts of the BJP and JJP running the coalition government, has intensified. JJP’s national general secretary, Digvijay Chautala is terming him the upcoming CM of Haryana. In a reaction to this, former BJP state president and current national secretary OP Dhankhar also took on the JJP leaders stating that no one can be stopped from dreaming and the people witnessed the flop show of the JJP in adjoining Rajasthan as the party could gain just 60 thousand votes in the polls.
